What I’m Doing…For Now
By Claire Keys
The life at Cincel is very fun. I usually wake up between 5:30 and 6:00 AM. I get ready and my whole family usually walks 2 miles from our house to Cincel, where we all go to school. The school starts at 8:00. The first thing we do is go to the library. We get out the Lego Bible, and Ms. Maria reads some of it to me and Owen. Then, we go into our classroom and go to the prayer wall. We get sticky notes and write down what we want to pray about. Ms. Maria has me or Owen pray first and then she prays last. After that, I get out my laptop and log in to the online school I do: Monarch.
I go into every subject and see how many questions there are, and I start with the one that has the most questions. My subjects are: math, language arts, history/geography, and science. In science I am learning about animals, for now. Another subject that I do is history & geography, in which I am learning about the New England states, for now. I also have mathematics (which I personally do not like). I am learning carrying ones. (Can you guess what I am about to say? I bet not! “For now.”) The last subject I have is language arts. I am pretty much just learning about grammar. I also go to Español at 11:30 AM and my friend goes at 9:15AM. I usually finish my work in the morning.
At school (MK CINCEL), we have snack time at 10:00 AM and lunch 12:15. I like lunch more. We also go to the park at 1:00 usually. In the afternoons, we have library time, listen to music, and sometimes we paint. Then we are free from school at 3PM. Since I used to be homeschooled, I have a lot of fun actually going to school and having new friends.
